TR Group is a growing business in Australia and New Zealand, with 14 branches across the two countries we specialise in all things heavy gear, and as we grow in Australia, we need to add new team members to our Business.

Started in 1992, TR Group sure knows Trucks and Trailers and the road transport industry. We are looking for a passionate person to join our team in Laverton, VIC in our Rental Operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge your intellect as you play a role in developing and maintaining structure, systems and control within our rental operation.  Many systems are manual and already established however, there is a constant need to be reviewing and improving them.  One attribute that will be essential is accuracy and precision – we operate to very high standards.

Our company is pioneering within the heavy vehicle lease and rental industry and, as such, there is a constant challenge to come up with unique systems and ideas.  There is plenty of variety in the role and plenty of opportunity to learn from those around you.

And, of course, the work environment and workmates are fun.  This job will suit a smart person who wishes to continue learning and pushing themselves.  It carries a fair bit of responsibility and the possibility of career advancement for a star performer.

The role in a nutshell:

  • Forming strong relationships with our internal and external customers and suppliers, as this will be the starting point of all your work
  • Answering phone calls and emails relating to customer bookings and enquiries
  • Working with teams in other states to ensure highest utilisation of equipment at all times
  • Efficiently recording bookings and ensuring all equipment is available when required
  • Responsible for ensuring our documentation (hires and dehires) are accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Monitor outstanding items relating to documentation (account forms, insurance confirmations, Personal Guarantees etc)

  • Updating all service records and required schedules to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Updating Yard stocktake list efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S policies, procedures and regulations
  • Undertake other duties as requested by management from time to time
  • You will look to improve what we do, “can we do that a better way?” will be common language in the branch

Working with TR means that you are dedicated to your own development, and we will help you every step of the way. Growing professionally and personally is as much of the job, as the tasks at hand.

But what do you get out of working with TR Group?

We are a team, and we are a family. We look after each other in the good times, and the tough times. Our values speak to who each and every one of us are, and we don't have to have the words on the wall to prove it. TR Group is so much more than a business, we make a lasting imprint on each other and the community we live in. We are dedicated to personal growth of our team, whether that's new ways of thinking, doing or simply getting out of the everyday to work on yourself. You can expect to learn and develop both personally and professionally, and we believe that the better person you are at home, is the better person that comes to work. It’s not just a job.
